On February 2011, Iran’s largest telecom operator, the MCI, launched first-ever mobile payment brand in the country with the name “JIRING” through its subsidiary company, Pardakht-Aval-Kish (PAK). Since in Persian  JIRING is an idiom to say for instant handy cash, the idea behind this brand for MCI was to provide its subscribers with fast, secure and easy money transfer and bill payment on their phones align with global technological changes in mobile industry. JIRING first came to market as a mobile wallet feature however currently offers a diverse range of remittance services in cooperation with local banks and money institutes.
